SS Mendi Remembrance & Wreath Laying, Noordwijk, the Netherlands

In what has become an annual event embraced by the South African Embassy in The Hague as well as the municipality of Noodwijk, a dignified ceremony honoured the fallen South African servicemen of the SS Mendi (at least five of whom lie buried in the Commonwealth War Graves Commission section of Noordwijk General Cemetery), as well as all fallen South African servicemen and women.
